Homework Tips

Do your homework at the same time every day.  Set aside a certain time every day to do your homework...let's say an hour and a half.  If you finish early, read your independent reading book or reread your homework. Keeping the time the same everyday will help you form the healthy habit of getting all your work done before you move on to other things.

Do your homework in the same place everyday.  Make a special place for doing your homework.  Keep a dictionary, pens, pencils, markers, extra paper and other necessary supplies in a bin or basket near your homework spot.  You don't have to use a desk or table!  Just make sure your special homework spot is comfortable, quiet and well stocked with necessities.
